Biography:

1967 Born in Barcelona, Spain.

1986 Enrolls at Elisava college of arts to study interior and industrial design.

1990 Works in different interior and industrial design studios in Barcelona.

1995 Foundation of Estudi Francesc Pons.

1999 Opening of first fast food restaurant “Sandwich and Friends”, the Project that puts the Studio on the global design map.

2000 The designer Amaya Arzuaga commissions the studio to design her flagship store in Madrid. Since then, Arzuaga’s Milan and London fashion shows are all designed and produced by the studio.

2001 Beauty salon “5º 1ª” touted as the most original salon concept in Barcelona.

2002 Restaurant and Good Bar “Noti”, described by the international press like the unavoidable place to go in Barcelona.

2003 With almost a decade of design excellence, Francesc .

2004 Opening the second “Sandwich & Friends” in Barcelona.
Opening restaurant Ottimo.
Opening showroom “BSB Alfombras contemporáneas”.

2005 Design the “Genio y Figura” exposition in Tokyo.
Opening the third restaurant “Sandwich & Friends” in Barcelona.
Design a carpets line for DAC sign.

2006 Opening the first Jordi Labanda store in Barcelona.
Adaptation the “Genio y Figura” exhibition from Tokyo to Madrid.

Francesc Pons actually develops projects in public places and particular houses in Madrid and Barcelona, and design furniture and lamps for national and international producers.
